    4th UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI · Main Plenary · Riyadh. Panellist, representing the SDAIA Academy and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in a Day 2 plenary on how public administrations build the institutional capacity AI adoption depends on. Fellow panellists came from Türkiye (CAIDP), Kazakhstan and the UAE (Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government), Benin (African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development), Poland (UNESCO Ethical Impact Assessment), Belgium (Digitaal Vlaanderen) and Jamaica. Hosted in Riyadh with UNESCO, SDAIA and ICAIRE.

Arab Standing Committee on AI.

Leadership of two of the six technical teams under the Arab Ministerial Council for Communications and Information.

    Chair one of the six technical teams of the Arab Standing Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, under the Arab Ministerial Council for Communications and Information. The team’s 2026–2029 workplan covers an Arab AI capacity map, a regional AI skills framework, a shared knowledge and learning platform, a partnerships-for-excellence programme and a leaders-and-talents programme, reported to the committee and the ministerial council.

  • Vice-Chair, AI Governance TeamArab Standing Committee on AI & Emerging Technologies · 2026–present

    Deputy chair of the committee’s AI governance technical team, working on shared regional governance practice for AI adoption across Arab states.
